Brandy

R&B songstress Brandy is in search of a new record deal. The singer once a dominating force in the music industry was dropped by her label Epic Records because of the lackluster sales of her comeback CD, “Human.”

According SoundScan since it’s released on Dec 2008; “Human” sold only 196,509 units. Not only does Brandy find herself without a label but the “Boy Is Mine” singer is no longer being represented by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management team.

“Human” was her first new album after a four year hiatus and also her first project since a fatal car accident and subsequent lawsuit.

The album only produced two singles, and the lead single “Right Here (Departed)” peaked at no. 34 on Billboard’s Hot 100.

Before partying way with Atlantic Records in 2005, Brandy spent eleven years with the company while releasing four albums.
