Bow Wow

Rapper Bow Wow took to his Twitter page over the weekend to announce that he has signed a record deal with Cash Money Records. The 22-year-old rapper parted ways with his previous label, Colombia Records, earlier this year.

After less than stellar album sales of his March release, ‘New Jack City II,’ rumors swirled that Bow Wow had announced his retirement from the music industry. The former child star was said to focus solely on his acting career.

However, with his recent deal, Bow Wow is the latest artist to be added to the Cash Money/Young Money team. Rapper/singer Drake inked a deal with the crew last month and former Bow Wow right-hand-man Omarion also signed with the Young Money earlier this year.

For the time being, Bow Wow says he is focused on the production of “Lottery Ticket,” a movie that stars Ice Cube. He will also be releasing a mixtape called ‘Greenlight’ soon.
