Black Dynamite

Tommy Davidson, Arsenio Hall, Brian Mcknight, Kym Whitley and Jon Salley are just a few of the familiar faces that will hit the big screen on Friday, October 16 for the premiere of blaxplotation film Black Dynamite.

“Black Dynamite,” a comedic ode to the 1970’s sex-and-music-fueled crime dramas centered on black anti-heroes, stars Michael Jai White as the movie’s namesake character. According to movie’s official site, “When “The Man” murders his brother, pumps heroin into local orphanages, and floods the ghetto with adulterated malt liquor, Black Dynamite is the one hero willing to fight.”

“Black Dynamite” won various awards when it made the rounds on the festival circuit, including ‘Audience Award Winner’ from the Seattle International Film Festival and ‘Official Selection’ nods from the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Black Dynamite will show in the select US cities of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Seattle.
