Oscar-nominated American actor Mark Wahlberg has revealed that he and Justin Bieber are pitching a movie, which is set to be a basketball drama. Sorry, no singing and dancing are to be expected. This time it’s serious.
Wahlberg is on the record as being a Justin Bieber fan. Back in August, he said to Time magazine: “The world needs Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber is like the white Tupac. Compared to a lot of people.” Wahlberg saw Bieber play some solid ball during a celebrity game held during NBA All-Star Game weekend in February. He then pitched an idea to Paramount executives. Paramount is more than happy to be in business with Bieber. His “Never Say Never” concert film made $97 million worldwide.
Bieber already flexed his acting muscles guest starring in Nickelodeon’s “True Jackson” in 2009 and in CSI over this winter, not to forget his “Never Say Never.” The sky seems to be the limit for Justin Bieber. Let’s hope JB will not get egged on the opening night like he was last Friday, April 29, at his concert in Australia.
