The Houston-bred diva is at war. One thing’s for sure: she’s got her girls locked down for this one. It’s a sketchy message, but the ever so evident memo of female power is a concept Beyoncé delivers both shamelessly and exceptionally.
“Run The World” serves as the lead single off Beyoncé’s forthcoming album “4,” set to release later this year. She recently spoke to Billboard.com about the track, which isn’t doing too well on the charts (it has yet to climb into the top 10). “It’s definitely riskier than something a bit more … simple,” she said. “I just heard the track and loved that it was so different. It felt a bit African, a bit electronic and futuristic. It reminded me of what I love, which is mixing different cultures and eras to create a new sound.”
The full video was set to premier today, May 13th, but it’s been announced that it has been delayed. No new date yet… Teasers leading up to the video’s release have already given fans a taste of the super-fashionable, post-apocalyptic world that Beyoncé and her minions live in. Queen B looks very haute couture while leading her army of women ready to take over the world. Check out the trailer below!
