Beyoncé is set to star in an upcoming 3D animated film. The singer will play one of the movie’s main character, called Queen Tara, in the cartoon titled “Epic.”
According to the Huffington Post the film will center around “the story of a teenage girl who finds herself magically transported into a secret world, where she must band together with a rag-tag team of characters to save their world — and the real world.”
Other members of the cast include fellow musicians Pitbull and Steven Tyler, actors Colin Farrell, Johnny Knoxville, and comedian Aziz Ansari. Epic will be produced by “Ice Age’s” Chris Wedge and is slated for release on May 24, 2013.
