Beyoncé releases music video

The highly-anticipated video of Beyoncé’s “Run The World (Girls)” premiered last night, May 18. She brings back the elements that made her “Single Ladies” song and video mega hits: female power, and a brand new dance.

Queen B leads an army of over 200 dancers in the video directed by Francis Lawrence, featuring wild animals, outrageous fashion, and epic dance sequences.

“Run The World (Girls)” is the empowering first single from her new album “4,” due out June 28.In a recent interview with Billboard, the singer said she worked with the band of afrobeat legend Fela Kuti to gain new inspiration for her music. “I also found a lot of inspiration in ’90s R&B; Earth, Wind & Fire; DeBarge; Lionel Richie; Teena Marie. I listened to a lot of Jackson 5 and New Edition, but also Adele, Florence & the Machine, and Prince. Add in my hip-hop influences, and you can hear how broad it is. I also gave myself more freedom to really belt out some songs, and bring soul singing back.”

TRACE Urban is already playing it. Check it out below! One thing’s for sure, Beyoncé really mixed things up this time.
