Beyoncé readies new album

After a short break from the music scene, Beyoncé will return this summer with her fourth solo album.

The singer recently unveiled several new songs from her upcoming album to Sony Music execs at a private listening party in New York. “It was amazing,” Denis Handlin, head of Sony Music Australia, told the Daily Telegraph. “The best description I can give is groundbreaking. She’s gone to another level.”

Beyoncé has been working with Australian singer/songwriter Sia and producer/DJ/songwriter Diplo on the as-yet untitled album. She was also recently photographed writing songs in the studio with Odd Future’s Frank Ocean.

The album is slated to drop in June.
