Beyoncé is set to expand her cinematic experience with the Clint Eastwood directed film “A Star Is Born.” Bey will play Esther Blodgett, much like herself a singer and actress. Deadline Hollywood mentioned Beyoncé’s eighth movie will begin filming by the end of the year and may also feature Leonardo DiCaprio. Beyoncé has been on the big screen before, however in an interview with Reuters she acknowledged a slight apprehension “I met with Clint and I was so nervous and I know that it is the biggest opportunity of my life. I will work as hard as I can,” she said. “Because I can’t wait. And I am so happy that he trusts me and I am in good hands and I am so fortunate.” The singer recently released her fourth solo album “4” which, despite debuting at number one, saw lower sales than prior LPs. Perhaps the 16 Grammy dream girl will make her music career secondary to become a screen star. By David Woodson
