For her next video, superstar Beyoncé is teaming up with another diva who has been making waves in the music industry. Lady Gaga will appear in the video for B’s next single, “Video Phone.”
Though rumors of the collaboration have been circulating for days, sources from neither Gaga’s nor Beyoncé’s camp have confirmed the details. However, a spokesperson for industry veteran Hype Williams, who is the video’s director, did confirm that a clip featuring both singers was shot last weekend in Brooklyn.
More details come from Life and Style magazine, which quoted one video insider who said “Everything on the set was being kept very hush-hush, and security was extremely tight.” The source also explained “In the video, Beyoncé wears a feathered dress. And of course Lady GaGa wears something wild. The fashion is sick.”
The original version of “Video Phone,” which appears on Beyoncé’s “I Am… Sasha Fierce” album, does not feature Gaga therefore the new clip will likely be for a remix.
