Earlier this year, rumors were circulated that singer Beyoncé was to expect a child. But that was quickly silenced. However, the baby rumor is out again, according to UsMagazine.com.
Beyoncé, 29, married rap and business mogul, Jay-Z in April 2008. The celebrity couple has always kept their lives very private but occasionally Beyoncé briefly discusses her thoughts about having children and having a family.
In an interview with Allure magazine, Beyoncé talked about her future as a mother. “I definitely want to have a child, but I know from my nephew it’s a lot,” she said. “I hope that those things will just happen naturally. I still haven’t had time to relax.”
With the recent surge of pregnancy rumors, anonymous sources told the magazine that the person who was most shocked from the news was Beyoncé: “B was shocked,” one source told the site. “She loves kids, but she wasn’t ready to be a mother just yet.” Another source said, “This is a gift from God and she’s so happy.”
On the other hand, Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mum sets the record straight: her daughter Beyonce and husband Jay-Z are not expecting a baby yet.
“I’m here to clear the rumors up. The truth is that’s it’s not Beyoncé that’s pregnant. It’s me,” Tina says on the US talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Really? “I’m kidding y’all. I’m 56. No, no, it’s not true [about Beyoncé]. Not right now.”
But when it does happen, she’ll be thrilled. “I’m looking forward to it,” she says.
