The Council of Fashion Designers of America is working to help raise needed funds for Haiti by creating a “Fashion For Haiti” T-shirt in response to the 7.0 earthquake that devastated the Caribbean nation on January 12, 2010.
To help raise the necessary cash that will benefit the Clinton Bush Haiti fund, singer Beyoncé has been named the official face of the “Fashion For Haiti” T-shirt. She hopes that people will buy the black and lime green logo T-shirt which features the tagline “Hope Help Heal Haiti” underneath a block design that says “To Haiti With Love.”
By working with Beyoncé, The Council of Fashion Designers of America which includes famous designers such as Donna Karen, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, just to name a few, hopes to show a new image of the fashion industry as an industry that cares and was affected by this tragedy.
The shirt is currently available in both men’s and women’s styles and can be purchased at high-end retail stores and online at www.cfda.com.
