Ghanaian songstress Becca and her label, EKB Record management, are surely going all out with the grand premiere of her latest video for “No Away” which is scheduled for Exel Lounge on June 29 and features famed Nigerian rapper M.I. The video, estimated at $50,000, is already being touted as the most expensive music video for any Ghanaian musician; surely the red carpet and strictly invitation only premiere will not go unnoticed. The music video was shot in Pretoria by one of South Africa’s topnotch production houses, Tough Sunday, who have produced videos for Lira.
Using state of the art equipment such as the Red Camera, the video tells a poignant love story between Becca and M.I with picturesque and colorful scenes. The red carpet premiere for “No Away” is expected to be a star-studded affair with appearances from Nigeria’s M.I, Davido and Jesse Jagz, as well as South African vocalist Ringo Madlingozi and Lira. The event will also be used to announce the release date for Becca’s anticipated second studio album, “Whispers.” The video will be made available to the public a month after the premiere. Check out a behind the scenes video of the filming.
