For some reason, athletes and rappers are always going at each other. Whether this is because of ego’s, women, or money, the relationship between the two has a history of public feuds that spans over 20 years. As fans, we simply have to sit back and watch the fireworks!
Floyd Mayweather vs 50 Cent
It all started in 2012 when Mayweather was in prison and asked 50 cent to help promote his company (Mayweather’s promotions). 50 cent made a lot of money for Floyd and when he got out of jail he was living very extravagantly and 50 accused him of not paying him what he owed.
This ended in an unfriendly exchange of tweets. More recently, things got very personal, and 50 Cent made public knowledge of Mayweather’s difficulty when reading.

He just cant stay out of trouble can he!
T.I. confronted Mayweather at Fatburger back in May and a huge fight broke out. Floyd later stated that T.I. was mad because the rapper thought he had sex with his wife.
Floyd and tiny (TI’s wife) denied the hook up and said they are just friends but Tiny blew off FM at the red carpet BET awards and it seemed that the friendship was completely over.
CM Punk vs Chris Brown
This war of words began when CM Punk tweeted Chris Brown saying that he should fight someone who could defend themselves.
“I would like @chrisbrown to fight somebody that can defend themselves. Me curb stomping that turd would be a #wrestlemania moment.”
Chris Brown responded;
“@CMpunk needs more followers. He’s such a leader! Not to mention the roids he’s on has made it utterly impossible for him pleasure a women.”
CM Punk then responded by going at Chris Brown in a YouTube video.
Miami Heat vs Lil’ Wayne
Lil wayne used a mic at the 2013 all star weekend in Houston and aired out a few insults at LeBron, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh.
He then apologised to LeBron afterwards, saying that they were always cool.. But at at Lakers vs Heat game it heated up again, Wayne says “I was at the game, rooting for the Lakers, saying ‘Chris Bosh you can’t hit a shot; D-Wade stop crying,’ I’m saying whatever I wanna say, I’m a fan of who I’m a fan of,” he explained. “Then Dwayne Wade comes over and he looks at me. I said, ‘Y’all don’t f— with me, so I don’t f— with ya’ll. Ya’ll don’t f— with me.’ [Wade] looked me dead in my eye and his exact words were, ‘We don’t.’ He didn’t say, ‘I don’t,’ he said, ‘We don’t.’ So I said ‘OK, well f— you’ then. He said ‘well f— you.’
Wayne also made sparked rumours of an affair with Chris Bosh’s wife!
Kris Humphries vs Kanye West
Yeezy referenced the basketball player and Kim Kardashian’s former husband on his track “Way Too Cold -“And I’ll admit, I fell in love with Kim/Around the same time, she fell in love with him/Well, that’s cool, baby girl do your thing/Lucky I didn’t have Jay drop him from the team,” he rapped.
In response, the Nets player released a skit with ‘Funny or Die’ in which he mocks Kanye, who is now dating Kim –
“Guys this feels terrible,” said Humphries wearing a pair of Kanye’s signature sunglasses. “Well, that’s cause you have the wrong sunglasses. We don’t want you to look like an a**hole, we want you to look like a douchebag,” responded his prospective managers while mocking Yeezy’s ‘Runaway’ video.
Humphries has also he attempted to subpoena Kardashian’s boyfriend Kanye West — having a processor drop off court papers inside a Nordstrom’s box.
Mike Tyson vs LL Cool J
Back in the day Mike and LL were good friends; often seen partying with Flavor Flav, Eric B, Grand Master Dee, and other 90s hip hop stars. However, when respected lyricist Canibus hit the scene, him and LL cool J instantly became embroiled in a feud..
With diss tracks going back and forth, Canibus recruited Tyson to star in one of his music videos, where ‘Tyson trains Canibus for a fight with LL Cool J’ and they both take shots at LL’s family, his attitude and everything about him. LL Cool J responded by calling out Tyson as “ a convicted rapist and ear biter”. The two never reconciled and have largely remained out of each other’s way.
