The Gunners may lose another key player, Alexandre Song stands to suffer two years in jail after an accusation of malicious wounding during a tavern tussle in Douala early last month.
According to a Daily Mail report, a student and alleged victim, Ludovic Achille Mouaha went to the bathroom, blocked by bodyguards, in search of his girlfriend, then “(Song) came out and was visibly angry. I ended up in a drain and afterwards went to hospital.”
However a representative for the midfielder attributed the incident to several fans in search of autographs, including a young woman, stating “The plaintiff later caused a scuffle and Alex’s bodyguards reacted…But at no time did Alex lay a hand on the plaintiff.”
Song’s trial is set for August, however the Cameroonian will not have to appear in court and has not been arrested. Justice will have to shed light on what happened during these 15 minutes.
