After a year that we can qualify as “turbulent”, British soul singer, Amy Winehouse, recently announced that she is cancelling the remainder of her UK tour.
The reason is she can’t continue without her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who is incarcerted for, trying to manipulate a witness in his upcoming trial for an assault charge in 2006.
Winehouse announced the end of her touring plans after many talks with her management and other tour officials.
A representative of the British artist said, that the cancel of the UK tour was decided on the advice of a doctor.
About that, Amy winehouse said: “I can’t give it my all onstage without my Blake,” Winehouse said. “I’m so sorry but I don’t want to do the shows half-heartedly; I love singing. My husband is everything to me and without him it’s just not the same.”
Not the same? Well, maybe.
The couple was arrested a few weeks ago for marijuana possession in October at a hotel in Bergen Norway but were released soon after following a payment of $715 in fines.
This is also not the first time that fans hoping to catch the singer live will be left high and dry.
Earlier this year Winehouse postponed her upcoming North American tour until 2008.
The most desappointed will remain fans. Again.
No doubt, that you can see a lot of them…
