Singer Amy Winehouse has been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of drug offenses.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the arrest was in connection with a video of the star, which allegedly showed Winehouse taking drugs.
On 22 January, The Sun newspaper published pictures allegedly showing the star smoking crack cocaine. Footage obtained by the newspaper appeared to show the Grammy award winner inhaling fumes from a pipe.
Earlier, Winehouse’s spokesman said in a statement: “Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is co-operating fully with inquiries. The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year.”
