Alicia Keys is up and ready to release her fourth studio album “The Element of Freedom,” on December 1st. The first single titled, “Doesn’t Mean Anything,” was produced and written by Keys and longtime collaborator Kerry “Krucial” Brothers.
Of her upcoming project the R&B singer explained that it has a different approach, accentuated by strong music and drums; but she still managed to showcase the complexity of her vocal range by keeping her voice “vulnerable and delicate.”
The diva also explained that with “Doesn’t Mean Anything” people will be able to feel what freedom means and able to express it in every way that they can possibly think of.
The singer, who has the ability to touch people with her songs, is doing it once again by bringing out her piano style and heavy feelings. As we speak, Keys is definitively putting the final touches to the most anticipated chapter of her life. But regardless of what she writes or sings she can certainly deliver another set of love songs and make timeless music.
“The Element of Freedom” is a follow up to Keys’ 2007 platinum album, “As I Am.” It also features production from Kanye West, Keri Hilson, Jeff Brasker, among others.
“Doesn’t Mean Anything,” currently sits at No. 65 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
