Newborn baby to R&B singer and songwriter, Alicia Keys and producer and rapper, Swizz Beatz, has been named Egypt Daoud Dean.
The story behind the naming of the child is rumored to be inspired from a recent trip Keys took to Egypt. Not unusual for celebrity parents to pick baby names from categories that range from fruits to locations, Keys and Beatz are no different in choosing to name their son after a country.
According to E!News, Egypt’s middle name, Daoud, means “David” in Arabic. He is the first child to Keys and the forth child for Swizz Beatz, who are from past relationships.
The couple, excited for their child, tweeted the news to the world. Keys tweeted, “There is no word to properly describe LOVE, to describe BLISS, to express a FEELING like this!!! Thank U 4 your love, support & prayers!”
Husband Beatz tweeted, “Much love for all the support everybody been showing but I want to shout out my Wife for being bigger than SUPERWOMAN!”
Congratulations to the couple and to their newborn child, Egypt Daoud.
