A$AP Mob sued for assaulting concert manager

The A$AP Mob is being sued by the stage manager of New York City’s Fader Fort Party. The group performed at the South By Southwest Music Festival in October 2011; now Anthony Montalbano, the manager who was injured during the performance, is suing the A$AP Mob, Sony Music Entertainment, and Fader Media Network.

Montalbano alleges that A$AP Rocky’s crew “shouted obscenities indicating their dissatisfaction with the microphones and damaged musical instruments and equipment that was on the stage,” according to Courthouse News. The stage manager was then asked by a FADER staff member to remove the damaged equipment, when he attempted to do so he was “grabbed by the defendants and continuously punched in the face and head for several minutes and said defendants hit plaintiff in the head with a microphone.”

The plaintiff, who needed 10 stitches in the head as a result of the altercation, is “seeking compensatory and punitive damages for “negligent hiring, emotional distress, assault and battery and negligence.”
