It’s been a minute since rapper 50 Cent has, well, rapped. Besides a few guest appearances here and there, since dropping his fourth studio album, “Before I Self Destruct,” in 2009, 50 has mainly focused on his budding acting career and promoting his various business ventures. But now, he’s ready to get back to the craft that got him famous in the first place.
He recently announced via Twitter that he’s almost finished with his next album.
“I been working hard my album its almost done,” the grammar-challenged rapper tweeted. “I took my time now every body’s gonna hear 2011 GET RICK OR DIE TRYING. The meanest sh*t.”
The project is currently untitled, but 50’s tweet reveals that he’s aiming to match the success of his debut, 2003’s “Get Rick or Die Tryin,” which was his highest selling album to date with more than 8 million copies sold.
