Rapper 50 cent, who was one of the main artists at Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope Records before moving large distribution shares of his G-Unit imprint last year, clearly knows he’s the godfather of starting beef. But with Dre? The rapper is no stranger to cyber quarrels and recently tweeted about Dre being upset that he is launching Sleek by 50, his new line of chic headphones.
He tweeted “Jimmy iovine and dre mad at me cause I’m doing sleek by 50.
I’m a little hurt jimmy and dre feel like that but f*ck it. I’m focused I got a surprise for everybody this go round. I guess I’m not going to be on detox Lol.”
50 claims that his recent release of Sleek by 50 headphones enraged his former employers by “competing with the Beats by Dre line” that Jimmy Iovine and the idolized producer created back in 2008.
To add injury, 50 cent has claimed he has a diss track in the works, especially aimed at Dr. Dre.
“Would you faint if I told you I just wrote a verse about jimmy and dre. Oh my god this is hard. This shit is gonna kill.”
The problem? Dre said he never heard of 50’s headphones… So what now Fifty?
