50 Cent

Congo is getting ready to celebrate its 50th year of independence by welcoming a very special guest for the occasion: rapper 50 Cent! The New York artist will perform concerts in Kinshasa on July 23rd and 24th, and in Brazaville on the 25th.

As 50 Cent’s African fans can’t wait to see the star on their continent, we hope Curtis Jackson won’t put himself in any trouble this time. The rapper seems to misbehave each time he goes to Africa. In 2004, he argued with Nigerian hip-hop artist Eedris Abdulrakeem over plane seats on his way to Nigeria. In 2008, a man jumped on stage as 50 Cent was performing in Angola and snatched his expensive chain.

This new trip should be the perfect opportunity for 50 to reconcile with his huge African fan base, especially since he’s going to celebrate this joyful holiday with the Congolese people. Don’t forget 50 Cent should be back later this year with his fifth album “Black Magic.”

Check out the dates and locations for 50 Cent concerts in Congo:

July 23 – Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo – Stade de Martyr
July 24 – Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo – VIP show
July 25 – Brazaville, Republic of Congo – Stade Masamba Deba
