following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement of level 2 lockdown regulations and the Covid-19 vaccination rollout to the 18 to 34 age group, Soulistic Agency is blowing full steam ahead with their three day festival For The Youth Weekender.
The festival will take place starting Friday, 24th September to Sunday 26th September 2021 with doors opening at 12:00 at Carfax in Newtown, Johannesburg. The festival lineup will include the dynamic duo Black Motion, the new kid on the block Blxckie and the award-winning Gqom duo Distruction Boyz. Not forgetting Nasty C, DJ Lag, Da Capo, 25K, Costa Titch, Lemon & Herb, DJ Tira, DJ Le Soul, Bekzin Terris, Dladla Mshunqisi, Dee Koala, LucasRaps, DJ Slique, Deep Narratives to mention a few.
The three days will be themed and curated with 3 touring stages, starting with “We Don’t Play The Same Gqom” a property founded by Que DJ from the award-winning duo Distruction Boyz on Friday, 24 September. Followed by PartyTime Playroom, a property founded by Uncle PartyTime and curated for the “New School” of Hip Hop to break into the mainstream on Saturday, 25 September. The weekender will close off with Africa Is Not A Jungle, a travelling stage created by Black Coffee to export Afro Tech and Deep House sound to the world on Sunday 26 September 2021.
For The Youth Weekender is due to take place; 24 – 26 September 2021 at Carfax in Newtown, Johannesburg.
