Watch Burna Boy get political in the video for his new single “Dangote”

In the video for his new single “Dangote”, Burna Boy put the spotlight on the people of Nigeria and their many economic struggles.

Last weekend, Burna Boy released his first solo single of the year titled “Dangote”, a direct reference to Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man.

The Kel P-produced track is now accompanied with a music video that shows the many problems the average Nigerians face on a day-to-day basis, from a socio-economic point of view.

The video opens with this message :

“The richest man in Africa still goes to work every morning. Employment and job creation should be a priority for any government.

The National Bureau Of Statistics puts the estimated number of unemployed Nigerians at 23.1%.”

Watch the Clarence Peters-directed video above.
