According to Billboard, Rita Ora and Jay Z’s Roc Nation have decided to part ways after an 8 year collab together.
End of last year, the 25-year-old British pop star filed a lawsuit against the label in LA Court, looking to break her five-album recording contract she signed back in 2008. She cited an « orphaned relationship» between herself and the company and accused them of neglect towards her. About a month later, Roc Nation replied with a counterclaim of their own, stating that she was in a breach of her contract having not delivered four albums.
Nevertheless, orphan no more she is not !! The singer who was suspected to be “Becky with the good hair”, after Beyonce’s Lemonade album release, has decided to live by the saying: “When Life gives you lemons make lemonade!” and we couldn’t be happier about it!
Rita quickly bounced back and shared on her Snapchat two blurred out papers with the caption: “Contract time!!” on Tuesday. It has since been confirmed Ora has now signed with Warner Music. The singer is currently filming the two sequels to Fifty Shades of Grey and announced she’s quitting as a judge on “The X Factor”.
