American rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot dead, Sunday March 31 in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, the rapper and two other people from his crew were targeted by gunshots outside Marathon Store, in Hyde Park, Los Angeles. The clothing shop was owned by Nipsey Hussle. The artist was reportedly shot 6 times and received CPR on the scene.
Many sources report that the shooter approached Nipsey and his entourage on foot and fired multiple rounds, then fled the scene in a nearby car. The police are investigating the shooting as gang-related.
Nipsey Hussle, born Ermia Davidson Asghedom, is survived by his two children : a son with his longtime girlfriend, actress Lauren London and a daughter from a previous relationship.
In 2018, he released Victory Lap, an album which was nominated for Best Rap album at this year’s Grammys.
He was 33.
