The famous Billboard Music Awards took place yesterday, on Sunday, May 22.
Every year, artists ranked at the top of the Music charts are rewarded during this extravagant ceremony.
This year, The Weeknd and Adele were the artists who won the most awards; the former won eight trophies, the latter five. The British singer won categories including Top Artist and Top Female Artist.
R&B singer The Weeknd stood out thanks to his singles such as ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ and ‘Worth It’ that enabled him to win awards for Top R&B song, Top Selling Songs, Top Radio Songs Artist and Top Streaming Songs Artist categories among others. He even dedicated one of his prizes to late singer Prince.
Justin Bieber was one of the favorite as he was nominated artist for 11 categories but unfortunately, he only got two trophies – Top Male Artist and Top Social Media Artist. It was a similar situation for Drake who only won one award – Top Rap Artist.
