Halal’ Afrika; Through It All 

Over the past weekend, hundreds of people were blessed by phenomenal Gospel legends at the Halal’ Afrika; Through It All live recording. The event took place on Saturday, 19th November at the Pretoria Heartfelt Arena and it was indeed a gathering of all saints! 

 

Halal’ Afrika is a music festival that aims to inspire wholehearted praise to God, uniting Africa through worship to boast of the glory of God. It is safe to say that the mission of the evening had been accomplished. 

 

The evening was  a family affair with people of all ages, coming together under one roof to celebrate the joy of the Lord. Local Gospel favourites such as Lebo Sekgobela, Ntokozo Mbambo,Takie Ndou, Soweto Spiritual Singers, Blessing Ali, Reverend Benjamin Dube and Dr Tumi had the audience up on their feet dancing and basking in praise and worship. Dr Tumi  brought a special touch to the evening when he performed music from his forthcoming album ‘More Than Enough’. (www.hitc.com)  

 

In addition to the crowd being blessed with performances by these local favourites, international artists took to the stage to perform melodies that left not one dry eye in the room. Gospel legends such as Vashawn Mitchell who has produced multiple Stellar Award winning songs, worship leader and songwriter Kierre Bjorn, Grammy nominated gospel artist Ron Poindexter, anointed Gospel artist Tim Reddick, gospel worshiper Tela Robinson and Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter Joe Mettle. As Vashawn Mitchell sang one of his most popular songs, “Nobody Greater”, the crowd was particularly enthralled, making the evening a night to remember. 

 

In every aspect of the evening, from the production to the sound and lighting to the atmosphere in the Arena, every detail was well-thought out. During the event, it was evident that a great deal of hard work, passion and dedication was put forward by all those who were involved to bring an evening of inspiration, healing and fulfillment to all who attended, which was evident in the amount of time and effort that was put into the event.
