The official release date for Drake’s newest album Views From the 6 has been revealed in a video teaser for the long awaited project.
Drake has been one of the top artists of 2015 and it looks like he’s planning to do the same in 2016. The Toronto native started the year with the single “Summer Sixteen” and recently surprised fans with two brand new tracks : “Pop Style” featuring The Throne aka Kanye West and Jay Z and “One Dance” featuring Nigerian pop star Wizkid and R&B singer Kyla.
During OVO Sound Radio, his weekly Apple Music Beats 1 radio show, Drake made a special announcement for the fans. The rapper who introduced the show by revealing the official release date for his upcoming album. Views From the 6 will be out by the end of this mont, April 29. However Drizzy told the fans that he was still working on the finishing touches of the LP and added that the project was a long one. “It’s not a short ting. There’s a lot of music on there,” he specified.
Along with the news, the rapper dropped a short promo video featuring his latest achievements, from his magazine cover for SLAM to him receiving the key to the city of Toronto. Watch below :
