On January 31, the singer posted a video featuring Dr Dre himself to announce the good news…
Anderson .Paak is the proof that hard work does pay off. The 29-year-old singer went from hometown glory to international recognition thanks to his work on Dr Dre’s album Compton and more recently the release of his solo album Malibu, last January. The R&B star is shining and Dre certainly didn’t want to let go of such a talent.
In a clip uploaded on .Paak’s Twitter page, Dr Dre himself declares : “I want y’all to say ‘what’s up’ to the new Aftermath representative, Anderson .Paak, baby.Welcome to Aftermath.” as the two men shake hands.
Anderson .Paak appeared on six songs on Dr. Dre’s 2015 album, Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre. He joins the label roster along side rap superstars Eminem and Kendrick Lamar. Not too bad !
