From rapper Kwesta’s spiritual trip in the streets of South Africa to Quavo and Nicki Minaj retro diner date, here are 7 music videos you need to watch this week.
Kwesta – Spirit ft. Wale
This is easily our favorite video of the week. South African rapper Kwesta and Wale captured the true essence of South Africa and its people but also the magical energy of the hood in this video directed by Tebza.
Dua Lipa – IDGAF
English singer Dua Lipa faces off her alter ego in a monochromatic dance battle in the video for her latest single. Empowering and captivating, the art direction was handled by Paul Van Haver (Stromae !) and Luc Junior Tam.
Rudeboy – Nkenji Keke
The love-infused tune by Rudeboy is now illustrated with a video of a romantic trip in a great landscape.
Quavo – She For Keeps ft. Nicki Minaj
After releasing the visuals for their Motorsport collab, Quavo and Nicki Minaj are literally back to the future in the colorful retro-inspired video for “She For Keeps”. See the two rap stars flirt in a diner for a not-so-fancy date.
MzVee – Come and See My Moda ft. Yemi Alade
Ghanaian songstress MzVee teamed up with Nigerian star Yemi Alade for her latest single “Come and See My Moda”. A funny video where the singers ask their love interests to “make it official” – quite quickly though.
Diplo – Mø
After the success of their previous collaborations “Lean On” and “Cold Water”, Diplo and Mø are back at it again with “Get I Right”. In the Brantley Gutierrez-directed video, the two artists are alone in an empty room where they start a dance routine that is reminiscent of the “Lean On” video.
Future and Young Thug – Mink Flow
If you don’t like snakes don’t watch this video. But if you do you’ll much likely be happy to see Young Thug with a boa around his neck like it’s nothing.
