Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
What is an ISRC code?
The International Standard Recording Code (ISRC) is an international standard code for uniquely identifying sound recordings and music video recordings. Each ISRC is a unique and permanent identifier for a specific recording, independent of the format on which it appears (CD, audio file, etc.) and of the rights holders involved. If you are a member of the French collective societies SPPF or SCPP, the ISRC code is provided to you when you register your recording with them. Please contact SCPP or SPPF for more details.
Does my music video have more chances to be accepted if I am a SCPP/ SPPF member?
Submission or non-submission of the music video to SCPP or SPPF (and thus indication or not of the ISRC code in the contract) does not affect under any circumstances the decision of the viewing committee.
Can I stipulate my alias name in the contract?
The information that we ask for in the contract is the one that appears in the black bar at the beginning and the end of each clip. You can choose to indicate your true identity or your alias name.
Can I stipulate the name of the structure that represents me if it is not a music label?
Yes, even if you are not signed to a record label, you have the option to stipulate the name of any other structure representing you (management, production company, association, etc.)
How long does it take for my submission to be reviewed?
Your video clip will be submitted to the viewing committee who will decide whether or not it will be broadcast. The viewing committee provides its decision within 2 to 3 weeks from the clip submission.
