Baller alert !
Hip-hop fashion royalty A$AP Rocky has posed for Dior once again, this time fronting the Parisian label’s latest SS17 ad campaign.
Rocky first linked up with Dior Homme for its FW16 campaign back in the summer of last year, sporting a number of sharp new looks including a striking scarlet trench coat. For SS17, however, the New York rapper is seen wearing some outrageous (in a good way) embroidered trousers and a tailored jacket with tracksuit-style stripes and markings across the shoulders. Rocky is one of four creatives featured in the campaign, the others being singer-songwriter Boy George, model Ernest Klimko, and actor Rami Malek.
“I really tried to translate what I think Dior Homme is right now.”
Photographed by Willy Vanderperre and creative directed by Kris Van Assche, the campaign highlights a group of cross-generational stars who embody what Dior Homme is right now and we’re loving it ! Van Assche went on to say the following about the campaign : “I really tried to translate what I think Dior Homme is right now. It’s about music, it’s about cinema, it’s about fashion…Boy George, when I was a kid, was one of the first to have this message about difference being okay; he was such a major influence on my generation. That idea of freedom and being a rebel–which he still is–is really something that has stayed with me.”
